Fossil-fuel industry hosts EU presidency

The Croatian EU presidency will be speaking at an invite-only dinner event Monday between MEPs and corporate lobbyists representing the fossil-fuel industry. Hosted by the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers, a lobby group, the event aims to discuss climate policy along with the European Energy Forum - composed of MEPs. Croatia's EU presidency is part-sponsored by the state-owned oil firm INA.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
