March worst month in history for Spanish unemployment

Spain's social security data revealed on Thursday that nearly 900,000 workers have lost their jobs since the lockdown measures on March 12, reports El País. Labour market data shows that more than half were temporary workers. The total number of people unemployed in the country officially rose to 3.5 million in March - the highest level since April 2017, with March the worst single month in history for unemployment.
