Russia stages tank drills on Ukraine border

Russia staged live-fire military drills using tanks and some 3,000 soldiers on Ukraine's border Tuesday, while the Kremlin said it was ready to walk away from talks with the West if there was no quick outcome. Meanwhile, US negotiator Wendy Sherman flew to Brussels to brief EU and Nato ambassadors, ahead of discussions in the Nato-Russia Council, and Ukraine urged Germany to show more leadership on the crisis.
