Aviation alliance wants EU climate plans tweaked

Some 20 airlines and airports, including Air France and Lufthansa, on Monday demanded changes to the EU's climate plans, reports Reuters. They say the plans would make them less competitive compared with other non-European rivals. The climate plans seek to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55 percent by 2030 compared with 1990 levels. The aviation sector accounts for some three-percent of global emissions.
