War makes EU-wide migration deal urgent, says Swedish minister

Swedish migration minister Anders Ygeman said on Sunday that war in Ukraine demonstrates the need for the EU to finalise asylum reforms, and to create binding system of solidarity across the bloc when it comes to migration. The likely need for EU states to help frontline states like Poland with refugees underlined the "importance of such a mechanism and such a pact," said Ygeman.

EU's proposed ethics body 'toothless', say campaigners
