Pressure increases for 'dialogue' between Serbia and Kosovo

The international community, most notably the European Union and the United States, is stepping up pressure for "renewed dialogue" between Belgrade and Pristina. There has been no direct contact between Serbian and Kosovo state representatives since Kosovo declared independence in February 2008. The two sides have participated in several informal international meetings, but avoided meeting each other.
