EU foreign affairs chief hopes for 'positive reply' from Iran

EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana has left Iran after having met Iranian foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki and the country's main nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, in Tehran for two hours to present a new nuclear package.

"The proposal is on the table now. We hope to receive a positive response which is beneficial to both sides," Mr Solana said at a news conference after the talks on Tuesday (6 June), according to Reuters.
