With less than 50 days before the Latvian referendum, opinion polls are showing a sharp drop in support for EU membership, however EU supporters still hold a comfortable lead of over 15 points.
According to a July poll by Latvijas Fakti 49.6% of Latvian citizens backed a "Yes" to the country's EU membership with 34.4% against.
The figures for June show 57.1% were ready to support EU membership with 24.5% against.
