Ireland and the European Parliament elections 2004

EUOBSERVER / EP-Elections 2004 - Turnout in the European elections in Ireland may be higher this time around as the date for elections, 11 June, will be coupled with local elections plus a controversial referendum on the automaticity of Irish citizenship.

This latter referendum is to ask the people whether Ireland should stop granting automatic citizenship to babies born in Ireland.
