UK labour rebels join calls for poll on Constitution

UK prime minister Tony Blair is coming under increasing pressure to hold a referendum on the European Constitution as some rebel labour MPs have defied government policy and joined the calls for a public poll.

According to UK media reports, eurosceptic MP Iain Davidson on Tuesday (13 April) indicated that he intends to launch a new parliamentary campaign group called 'Labour Against A Superstate'.
