Berlin prepared to pay for stability pact reform

Berlin is prepared to pay more into the EU in return for getting its way on reform of the euro zone's stability pact, a German newspaper has reported.

According to Die Welt, state secretary for finance Gerd Ehlers did not deny the linking of the two issues on Wednesday (23 February) during a budget committee meeting.
