The European Commission has launched another assault on regulation and red tape, hoping to succeed where previous initiatives have failed.
Presenting the initiative on Wednesday (16 March), Industry Commissioner Günter Verheugen said he aimed to put an end to the perception of the European Commission as a "bureaucratic monster" and boost Europe's business environment.
