The EU has has asked its WTO partners around the trade talks table in Geneva to shift focus from farm cuts to goods and services, as France rejects any more concessions on agriculture.
EU trade commissioner Peter Mandelson sent a letter to ministers from the EU, US, Brazil, India and Australia, suggesting talks would stall without better bids on liberalising trade in goods and services, the Financial Times reports.
