Software giant Microsoft is set to be hit by a record EU fine of nearly 500 million euro for breaking EU competition laws.
The fine is expected to be 497 million euro, significantly larger than the 460 million fine imposed on pharmaceutical company Roche for its part in a price-fixing operation in the Vitamin market.
The European Commission decided last Thursday (18 March) to slap sanctions on Microsoft because it believes that the company is abusing its dominant market position....
