Danes will have to continue to pay higher prices for cars than most other Europeans. Today, Wednesday 18 June, the EU Court of Justice ruled that up to 180% tax levied on new cars is not in breach of EU regulation.
The Danish Association of car importers had filed a complaint that an Audi vehicle costing 27,000 euro was levied with some 40,000 euro extra in taxes when sold in Denmark.
