The European Union will sanction third countries

The European Union will sanction third countries, if they fail to cooperate with the EU on fighting illegal immigration, under plans to be discussed by the EU foreign ministers next Monday, and will be forwarded to the EU heads of state gathering in Seville next week.

Under the plans, drafted by the EU states’ ambassadors in Brussels, EU agreements with third countries will be revised to include clauses on fighting illegal immigration.
