Commission denies EU re-branding

The European Commission today (2 May) denied reports that it has consulted a group of experts to re-brand the EU, led by British brand consultant Simon Anholt.

"I am not aware of any contact between Mr Anholt and the president or the commission services at this stage," commission spokesman Johannes Laitenberger told journalists. "[Mr Anholt] has not been recruited by the European Commission to do this kind of work."
