No religious communities in the Convention

The pope John Paul II speaking to ambassadors accredited to the Holy See expressed his regret that there was no explicit mention of religious communities contributing to the Convention. However, the pope expressed his satisfaction because of the progressive unification of Europe. It is also important that expansion of the EU should continue to be a priority, the pope stated.
