Pressure on Tory leader to renounce Thatcher

Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith is facing pressure to distant himself from former prime minister Lady Thatcher's stance on Europe, reports the Times. A Times survey of more than 100 constituency chairmen found that more than two thirds regarded Lady Thatcher's views, which is outlined in her latest book Statecraft, as impractical and outmoded.
