Latin American leaders protest EU banana tariffs

Following a meeting in Ecuador’s capital Quito on Wednesday (26 January), the leaders of seven Latin American countries are expected to sign a common declaration condemning an increased EU tariff on bananas from 75 euro to 230 euro per tonne.
