Prodi to visit Libya

The Commission President will visit Libya later today amid renewed controversy over the country's role in a 1988 plane bombing. Aides say a meeting with Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi is possible.

Mr Prodi will travel to the country to take part in a conference of Heads of States and Governments of the African Union (AU).
