EEA and WTO effects in Norway's economy negligible

Norway's membership of the European Economic Area (EEA) and the World Trade Organisation (WTO) is leading to a rise in economic welfare of 0.77 per cent. This growth is negligible when compared to the fact that the expected overall economic growth in the country in 2002 is estimated at 3.2 per cent, according to an analysis from Statistisk Centralbyrå (SSB, Norway's statistic service), interpreted by Norwegian daily Nationen.
