The European Court of Justice yesterday (30 March) overruled an appeal by German MEP Willy Rothley and 70 other MEPs.
The case concerned the right of OLAF - the EU's anti-fraud body - to search MEPs offices. Mr Rothley and his colleagues fear the immunity of MEPs would not be respected in such cases and that they are not secured effective judicial protection.
