EUOBSERVER / EP-elections 2004 – EU events in Denmark are always interesting. Generally recalcitrant about the EU, Danes are known for turning their backs on the Union twice - in referendums on the Maastricht Treaty in 1992 and on the Euro in 2000.
Nevertheless, the likelihood of citizens voting in the forthcoming European Parliament elections is estimated higher in Denmark than in any other EU country, (8.45 on a scale from 1 to 10), according to a Eurobarometer survey.
