Latvian ice hockey fans used in EU campaign

The Latvian government, acknowledging people's passion for ice hockey, has got a deal with Latvian ice hockey fans to show the symbols of the government's EU information campaign on their shirts. The hope is to gain more Yes votes in the EU referendum to be held 20 September.

As a result, the motto "Latvia in Europe" was visible in Finland, where the World Ice Hockey Championships are taking place, and anywhere else in the world where the games are broadcast.
