A day after the European Commission rejected Lithuania's bid to join the eurozone, fresh data shows the country would reach the allowed rate of inflation.
According to a Eurostat survey published on Wednesday (17 May), the reference value - calculated using the average inflation rates in April in the three EU best performers (Sweden, Finland, Poland) plus 1.5 percentage points - was 2.7 percent.
