The European Commission announced on Thursday (10 February) that it is to speed up plans for easier trading terms for countries affected by the tsunami wave in south east Asia.
The trade tariff scheme, which is known as the Generalised system of preferences (GSP), will be introduced on 1 April instead of 1 July.
It lowers tariffs for developing countries exporting to the EU.
