Airline companies which overbook will have to pay hundreds of euro in financial compensation to the passengers that are left stranded, following an EU agreement reached on Wednesday.
This deal, which is expected to come into force before next summer, will enable passengers to get 250 euro as compensation for flights of less than 1,500 km, going up to 600 euro for long-haul flights.
