The European Commission is filing a proposal to restrict liquids allowed on board planes to medicine and small perfumes or shampoos - as a response to an August terrorist plot to blow up transatlantic airlines.
EU transport commissioner Jacques Barrot told journalists on Wednesday (13 September) that he would suggest restrictions rather than an outright ban on all liquids in hand luggage at a meeting with EU aviation experts later this month.
