MEPs to give green light to airline blacklist

The European Parliament is expected to give wide support to a pan-European blacklist of unsafe airlines.

MEPs will debate the proposal in a plenary session in Strasbourg on Tuesday evening (15 November), and vote on it on the following day.

The legislative package includes two main suggestions: the setting-up of a common list of airlines banned fom all EU member states, and obliging ticket sellers to inform passengers about unsafe carriers, even for flights outside the EU territor...
