Wim Duisenberg former chief of the European Central Bank (ECB), who oversaw the introduction of the Euro in 2002 was found dead on Sunday, 31 July, in the swimming pool at his villa in the south of France.
According to a regional prosecutor, the former Dutch finance minister drowned following a cardiac arrest. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
