Europe and Africa agree on common plan to tackle migration

European and African ministers have agreed on various common actions including the joint monitoring of sea and border routes in order to tackle the problem of illegal immigration.

Development and immigration ministers from 58 countries gathered in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, on Monday and Tuesday (10-11 July) also agreed to boost development aid in a bid to tackle poverty.
