EU ambassadors on Wednesday (3 October) agreed to extend sanctions on Burma following a crackdown on peaceful protesters in the country.
The decision came after the military junta in Burma shot at street protesters last week, killing ten people, according to official figures and more than 200 according to human rights organisations. Additionally, hundreds of protesters have been arrested.
