Controversial Franco-African summit begins

The Franco-African Summit will begin in Paris today amid a wave of controversy that Zimbabwean leader, Robert Mugabe, has been invited.

Finance Ministers meeting in Brussels on Tuesday rubberstamped last week’s agreement to extend travel and economic sanctions against the Zimbabwean hierarchy but gave the go-ahead for Mugabe to travel to the Paris Summit.
