More work for Romania needed on market economy

Bucharest has been told that it is failing on eight points, which it must make up in order to become a market economy - a key step towards completing membership negotiations.

On a visit to Brussels today (Tuesday 16 September) the Romanian Prime Minister Adrian Nastase was told the status of privatisation, the improvement of company law and of the relationship between public ownership and private ownership in Romania must change.
