EU foreign ministers will gather in Brussels today (7 January) to try and co-ordinate their relief efforts for the tsunami-struck south east Asia after the bloc pledged 1.5bn euro in aid.
The foreign ministers will be joined by development and health ministers for an informal gathering to discuss options for concrete steps for the afflicted countries.
Among the options likely to be discussed will be whether there should be a debt repayments freeze for the tsunami countries.
