Estonians say yes to the EU

EUOBSERVER / ESTONIA Estonians have voted in favour of joining the European Union. According to preliminary results, 67% of Estonians said 'yes' to the EU, with a turnout of around 63%.

Estonian leaders hailed the outcome; the results, however, were not surprising and the government, Prime Minister and President were confident that people would support their call to join the EU.
