Malta’s Foreign Affairs Minister Joe Borg has been chosen for the post of European Commissioner.
Weeks of speculation ended as the Prime Minister Eddie Fenech Adami made the official announcement yesterday.
"The Maltese government is saying that the Commissioner should be initially nominated to serve in the present commission and would be confirmed in the successive Commission for the next five years", the Prime Minister said.
