High level talks resumed with Turkey

EU leaders including Enlargement Commissioner, Günter Verheugen, will meet today with the Turkish government for the first high level meeting since the Copenhagen summit in December.

The EU delegation is expected to explain the outcome of the summit in an attempt to ease Turkish anger over the Union's failure to give it a concrete date to begin accession negotiations.
