Transatlantic aviation deal faces delay

The EU and the US form the world's two largest aviation markets with some 60 percent of global traffic, but a deal to free up this huge market for more competition has still not been agreed.

Next month's deadline to get a deal appears unlikely to produce results with March 2007 being touted as the probable date for an eventual transatlantic aviation pact to take off, according to media reports.
