Brussels gives top-marks on internal market law

The European Commission on Monday (18 July) praised EU countries for transposing directives aimed at regulating the bloc's internal market.

The average percentage of directives not inserted into member states' national law - the so-called transposition deficit - currently stands at 1.9 percent for the 25 EU members, compared to 7.1 percent last year.
