The four Visegrad countries and the Benelux trio agreed the new EU budget should show more solidarity with poor member states at a meeting on Thursday morning (15 December).
But the countries also displayed differences in their individual positions at the pre-summit breakfast, which comprised Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic as well as Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
