Carmakers too slow to reform, say dealers

A number of European carmakers have still not issued new contracts for their dealer networks, as they are obliged to do under the new rules on European car distribution, which formally become law today (1 October).

The new rules, which were issued by the Commission on October 1 last year, aim at loosening the stranglehold that manufacturers have over their dealers.
