EU to thrash out immigration and terror issues in Tampere

No big decisions but plenty of informal haggling on several contentious issues is expected at the two-day informal session of EU justice and interior ministers in Tampere, Finland.

Anti-terrorist measures, immigration and a delay of the Schengen open-border zone enlargement are set to dominate the meeting which starts late Wednesday (20 September) with a limited gathering of the Finnish EU presidency and the three forthcoming presidencies - Germany, Slovenia and Portugal.
