Huge variation in regional unemployment in future EU

New figures published today by the EU show a huge variation in regional unemployment. While 27.1 per cent are unemployed in Halle (Germany), but a mere two percent are jobless in Tirol in Austria.

In the future EU members, there is a narrower variation, but still a significant one. The unemployment rate varies from 26.3 percent in Lubuskie in Poland to 3.3 percent in Cyprus.
