The current Austrian EU presidency has said member states will probably hammer out a plan to put Sri Lanka's Tamil Tigers on a terror blacklist, despite warnings by the separatists that they will not get back to peace talks if Brussels bans them.
The EU decision - expected on Monday (29 May) - would lead to a freezing of the assets owned by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and also a stopping of the funds sent to the group from Europe.
