MEPs call on ECB to factor in global instability

The EU Parliament has urged the European Central Bank (ECB) to factor geopolitical risks into its monetary policies, including interest rates, as part of its annual report.

The report was adopted by a narrow 61 percent in favour — 378 votes for, 233 against, and 26 abstentions on Tuesday (11 February).
