MEP’s to discuss EMU with Reynders and Duisenberg
The European Parliament’s economics and monetary affairs committee are today, Tuesday, just under two weeks ahead of the launch of the euro, to discuss the state of both the euro and the Economical and monetary union in general, with the Belgian minister of finance, Mr Didier Reydners and President of the European Central Bank (ECB), Mr Wim Duisenberg.
It is hoped that Mr Duisenberg can reassure members of the European Parliament of a smooth introduction of the Euro as well as providing them with a clear insight into the ECB’s outlook on the future of the economy of the European Union.
