Former Catalan leader loses MEP appeal, raising questions for fellow separatist

The European Court of Justice on Thursday (26 September) rejected the appeal by the former pro-independence Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont, who had challenged the European Parliament’s decision not to recognise him as an MEP after the 2019 elections.
